Due to increased documentation requirements, the German tax office now requires the following documents and information for exports to EU member states:
- Complete and exact business address, telephone number, fax number, email address, details of the trade/industry and, if available, internet address, business card, etc.
- European VAT identification number.
- Copy of extract from the commercial register, trade or other official business certificate (e.g. from the Chamber of Commerce).
- Passport copy of the business owner or managing director and
- If he does not make the collection personally, a power of attorney signed by him, preferably with a business stamp, for the driver collecting the goods.
If we cannot be provided with documents that clearly demonstrate the status of entrepreneur and the power of representation, we will charge a deposit equal to the VAT applicable in Germany.
The deposit amount will be refunded as soon as you provide us with the aforementioned documents.
